by becoming one with the wolves and animals and the land the 100 military children survived. by cutting his arm to attract wolves with the scent of his own blood so that they could kill the wolf and eat it for food. the cuts in the arms also served to track the days as they were not given any equipment. clothing was made from the wolf skins and by the end of the year young wolf cub pups were already following them around. when the military tried to watch them in the desert they only saw wolves in the satellite. when JCOS tilden returned to the desert a year later, he was surround by HIM and the wolfpack. the 99 others are sent back to their countries from around the world and are decorated and placed in high levels of power and prestige.
but not HIM. he was kept a secret and trained his whole life only in learning the ways of war and strategy. all the while remembering America and writing letters to her over the years that he would never give her, waiting too long and putting it off. many years later when HIM takes over the world, when he shows the three cuts on his arm, it reminds his wolf pack members of their allegiance to him from when they survived in the desert. most of the world just thinks he is showing his arm for no reason, but for those who know what it is, its the signal for "the system".


ironically the art of war teaches preservation of life is the highest goal of strategy and war. win without killing and destroying when at all possible. so although him was just trying to save the world in the seven days war, he was only perceived as a dictator and his intentions were not clear and he was misunderstood and on top of that she broke his heart that day, on the "eVe of thunder". still his actions are treason and inexcusable and punishable by death.

the trial/exam was reckless and cruel to these 100 youths, and it was never administered ever again. the military just needed to know that before they spent years training them to be great generals, they needed to know for sure if they had the will to survive. because one day the earth could come under attack from inhuman enemies, and on that day we will need to know who our real commanders and generals are. because in the wrong hands many lives can be lost needlessly and still accomplish nothing. the art of war also teaches that the job of a good general is sometimes not to obey their orders, as long as they are acting in the best interest of their leader and for the betterment of all mankind. but not in this case. him is unfortunately the perfect example of power in the wrong hands. his emotions got the best of HIM in the end. it was himself that was the only thing he could not conquer. this is why we have a  democracy and checks and balances so that no one person can attempt to take over the entire world all for themselves, just because they cant handle rejection. hIM is a traitor to the flag and the constitution in the end and for 3000 years the ash army underground will never forget it. had tilden known this back then he would have never began him's training and just left him on the farm with his brother daed. apollo was forced by the illuminati to sign a fishy contract when his twins boys were born. tilden is innocent in all of this. he was just trying to see to it that daed and him were kept out of trouble while the world turned. as long as the wrench of power was hidden at the farm no one could change the new laws that brought world peace and fair work opportunities for all. tilden did not know that the illuminati would use HIM the way they did to steal it.
